Place of investigation Freiburg im Breisgau

Franziska Tobler , played by Eva Löbau , and Friedemann Berg , played by Hans-Jochen Wagner are the fictional investigators of the ARD crime series Tatort in the Black Forest area . Both have been investigating since the beginning of October 2017 as chief detective commissioners for the SWR in Freiburg im Breisgau and the surrounding area.

background

The most commonly used concept of the crime scene series, assigning a team of investigators to a German city in which the investigation is then carried out, cannot be applied to the detective chief inspectors Tobler and Berg. You do not determine in one place and its surroundings, but rather in an entire region.

After the departure of the Constance team of investigators Blum and Perlmann at the end of 2016, the police officers based in the Black Forest with an office in Freiburg form another crime scene team of the SWR.

characters

Franziska Tobler

Eva Löbau plays KHK Franziska Tobler

Chief Inspector Franziska Tobler, played by Eva Löbau , is deeply rooted in the Black Forest, having lived in the south-western region of Baden-Württemberg since she was born . Tobler is married and is occasionally picked up by her husband from the police station.

Tobler is a clever and powerful investigator who, however, does not assert her interests at any cost. She acts carefully, weighs up and takes tactics. The inspector, who is known to be particularly empathetic and sensitive, conducts interrogations with children or mentally unstable people with great sensitivity and skill. She doesn't like the hustle and bustle and doesn't like to be the center of attention herself, but she knows exactly what she wants and how to achieve it.

She seldom deceives her gut instincts, and she often suspects that something is wrong in a case before they have come to criminalistic and rational conclusions. On the outside, it looks rather inconspicuous. She prefers dark, inconspicuous clothes, likes to wear trouser suits with monochrome blouses under her jacket.

Friedemann Berg

Hans-Jochen Wagner plays KHK Friedemann Berg

The tall, stocky Chief Inspector Friedemann Berg, played by Hans-Jochen Wagner , now lives in the city of Freiburg im Breisgau, but is still deeply rooted in the Black Forest, which means home to him. He grew up there on his parents' remote farm. Although he has long since moved away, he does not like to separate from his parents' house.

The inspector likes thick sweaters with zippers and a T-shirt underneath, plus jeans and sturdy shoes with coarse soles. Above all, his clothing should be one thing: functional. In terms of color, almost all of his clothes are covered. What is striking is his dark, curly hair, which looks somewhat untamed and which he combs out of his eyes over a side part.

With his stature rather comfortable and deliberate, the criminalist acts lightning-fast when necessary. He puts all his energies into a case and doesn't rest until his investigations have produced results. His type of humor does not meet with love from everyone, but that does not prevent him from using it, even if he often offends his counterpart.

Berg disregards the regulations in acute situations, rushes forward energetically and sometimes hits the wall with his head in order to achieve his goals. He approves of the resulting consequences.

Cornelia Harms

Cornelia Harms, played by Steffi Kühnert , is the strict commissariat manager and the immediate superior of Tobler and Berg. She shows herself annoyed by Friedemann Berg's solo efforts and his now and then ill-considered actions in dangerous situations. Berg's humor and uncompromising manner do not always fall on fertile ground with her. Nevertheless, she appreciates both criminologists very much and stands behind them, especially Franziska Tobler's cool, thoughtful manner and her willingness to compromise character find her satisfaction.

The actress Steffi Kühnert stepped in for Harald Schmidt at short notice , who was supposed to play the role of Gernot Schöllhammer , the originally conceived manager of the two investigators.
