Place of investigation Stuttgart |
Detective Inspector Thorsten Lannert and detective chief Sebastian Bootz from Stuttgart Homicide are fictitious people in the ARD - crime series Tatort , by Richy Müller and Felix Klare be played. Since 2008 you can be seen as a crime scene investigation team of the SWR .
background
The Lannert and Bootz team was conceived by the scriptwriter Holger Karsten Schmidt for SWR, who also wrote the scripts for the first three episodes. It succeeds the former Stuttgart crime scene investigator Ernst Bienzle , who was invented by Felix Huby and who investigated 25 episodes from 1992 to 2007. The concept of the new Stuttgart Tatort is moving away from the regional and Swabian flavor of the Bienzle Tatort to a modern big city thriller that looks behind the scenes and into the depths of a busy and urban state capital.

Chief Detective Inspector Thorsten Lannert, born in the early 1960s and played by Richy Müller, is moving from Hamburg to Stuttgart . He needs a fresh start because under tragic circumstances he lost his wife Susanne and his daughter Lilli in the course of his exposure. He was badly injured by a shot in the chest. In Hamburg he worked as an undercover agent under the cover name "Chris Gabriel" in the field of organized crime and one of the most important men in his office. In Stuttgart he has to completely reorient himself. A lot of self-discipline is inherent in him, which keeps him from breaking apart from his fate. In rare moments he indicates what it looks like in him through small gestures or the way his gaze changes. Since he was mostly on his own in Hamburg, working with his new colleague Sebastian Bootz and the other team members was not easy for him at first. In the cases to be solved, his gut feeling is important to him, which he relies on in case of doubt. Shaped by his knowledge of human nature and experience, he can also put himself in the shoes of a perpetrator. However, when it comes to crimes against children, he is highly sensitive.
In Stuttgart, the inspector moves into an apartment in an apartment building in the Heusteigviertel in the south of the city center. The record lover has a very good relationship with his neighbor Lona Wegener. Both feel drawn to each other; however, the large age difference of almost 20 years prevents an even closer bond.

Chief Detective Sebastian Bootz, played by Felix Klare, is a Stuttgart police officer and a family man. Born in 1977, Bootz quickly made a career at the Stuttgart Criminal Police after graduating from the Police College . In order to be able to understand his cases even better, Bootz takes four semesters of criminal psychology, since it does not satisfy him to only deal with a case after everything has already happened. He wants to understand how it could have come to this. Since killing someone while on duty, he only aims at the legs when he has to shoot.
Bootz lives with his wife Julia and their children Maja and Henri in a single-family house in the west of the city. His unorthodox working hours repeatedly lead to problems within the family, and his fatherly duties often collide with everyday work. In addition, his wife's fear that he might be shot while on duty weighs on both relationships. In the episode Spiel auf Zeit , his wife tells him that she will leave him with the children. Bootz finds out that the new man in Julia's life is in a wheelchair.

Lannert at KRIMI.de
Because the Tatort editorial team is also working on the KiKA youth series KRIMI.DE at the same time, Chief Inspector Lannert can also be seen in this series. Actually he specializes in larger cases like murder, but he takes on the case of "cyberbullying" (episode: network attack, KRIMI.DE Stuttgart) because he has been close friends with Klara Stolz's father (played by Thomas Heinze ) since he was a child. At that time (according to their own statements in the KRIMI.DE episode Netzangriff) they screwed up quite a bit of crap when Lannert proudly phoned. However, Lannert did not manage to solve the case alone.
