Maja Schöne

Maja Schöne (* 1976 in Stuttgart ) is a German actress .

life and work

After graduating from high school and an internship at a small Stuttgart stage and an internship as a director, she decided to become an actress. In 1997 she began studying at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum , which she graduated in 2001. She also played at the Schauspielhaus Bochum . She received her first theater engagement after graduating from February 2001 at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg. At this venue, she performed in various roles, such as Amalia in Schiller's robbers and as Gretchen in January Bosses staging of Faust . For her role in Jan Bosses Roberto Zucco she received the Young Talent Award of the Friends of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in 2002.

From 2007 to 2009 she played at the Schauspiel Köln , first as Brunhild in Friedrich Hebbel's Die Nibelungen . For this role she received the award for best actress at the Theater Festival NRW. Since 2009 she has an engagement at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg .

She made her comrade debut in 2001 in Isabel Kleefeld's ARD production End with Funny! followed by regular film and television work. In 2004 she made her cinema debut in Mark Schlichter's film Cowgirl, alongside Alexandra Maria Lara , which earned her a nomination for the Undine Award . From 2008 to 2013 she played the wife of investigator Bootz in the Stuttgart episodes of the crime series Tatort . In 2011 she starred in Brigitte Bertele's film Der Brand as a rape victim in search of retribution; for this role she received the German Actor Award for best leading actress at the 2013 Berlinale .
