The Nashville 300 is one of two car races held in the NASCAR Nationwide Series on the Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon , Tennessee , about 30 miles east of Nashville . It was held for the first time in 2001. Pepsi has always been the sponsor of the race ever since. In addition, every race on the 1.33-mile oval has covered a distance of 300 miles, which corresponds to 225 laps.

In addition to the Nashville 300, another Busch Series race takes place annually on the Nashville Superspeedway, the Federated Auto Parts 300 . While the Nashville 300 mostly takes place in the spring, the Federated Auto Parts 300 mostly takes place in the summer.
