The Federated Auto Parts 300 is one of two car races held in the NASCAR Nationwide Series on the Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon , Tennessee , about 30 miles east of Nashville . It was held for the first time in 2002. So far, every race on the 1.33-mile oval has covered a distance of 300 miles, which corresponds to 225 laps.
Federated Auto Parts has sponsored the race since 2004. Before that, they sponsored a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race , the Federated Auto Parts 200, which has been called the Toyota Tundra 200 since 2004 .
In addition to the Federated Auto Parts 300, another Busch Series race takes place annually on the Nashville Superspeedway, the Pepsi 300 . While the Pepsi 300 mostly takes place in spring, the Federated Auto Parts 300 mostly takes place in summer.
