The NAPA Auto Parts 200 is a NASCAR Nationwide Series car race that takes place at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal , Canada . However, there was a race before that with that name.

The NAPA Auto Parts 200 on the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve was held for the first time on August 4, 2007. Not only was it the first time NASCAR raced in Montreal, it was the first race of the NASCAR Nationwide Series in Canada. The race was won by Kevin Harvick . However, this victory was overshadowed by inglorious events. During a yellow phase, Robby Gordon overtook Marcos Ambrose , who then turned the former around and took the lead back. In the opinion of NASCAR, Gordon should have dropped back during the caution period, but did not do so, instead ramming Marcos Ambrose shortly after the restart of the race, thus robbing him of his chances of victory. Robby Gordon was then first on the track, but already disqualified. Kevin Harvick was the lucky third to take the win.
