The fictional detective chief inspectors Adam Schürk , played by Daniel Sträßer , and Leo Hölzer , played by Vladimir Burlakov , are the main characters in the Saarbrücken -based episodes of the ARD television series Tatort . The crime thrillers produced for SR have been broadcast with the investigative team since April 2020 .

The Schürk and Hölzer team of investigators follows Stellbrink and Marx , who appeared in the Saarbrücker Tatort episodes from 2013.
The shooting location for the police station where the team of investigators works is the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Saarbrücken; The former location of Stellbrink and Marx is in an uninhabited building that has been repeatedly broken into.

The two main investigators already know each other from their school days and in their first case unexpectedly meet as colleagues.
Adam Schürk
As a child, Schürk was beaten and militarily drilled by his father. Only his school friend Leo Hölzer was able to free him from this situation. The two met when Adam rescued Leo from a violent argument at school. The story of their childhood friendship is told in flashbacks in the episode Tatort: Das industrious Lieschen .
Before starting work, Schürk lived in Berlin for a few years, separated from his family.
Leo woods
Hölzer has been working in this department for a long time, but his last colleague left it because Hölzer is reluctant to use his weapon and has therefore endangered his colleague.
To free his friend Adam, he knocked his father down. The crime was successfully covered up by arson, but it still incriminates him. He took care of Schürk's comatose father during Schürk's absence.
