Oliver Kienle

Oliver Kienle (* 1982 in Dettelbach ) is a German screenwriter and director .

Career

Kienle first studied German in Würzburg , then from 2004 to 2010 he studied directing at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy . During his studies he gained experience in film and video production and made his first short films and music videos.

His full-length graduation film Bis zum Blut - Brothers on Probation (2010) has already won several awards, including the Bavarian Film Prize, the Max Ophüls Festival and the First Steps Awards . In his role as author and director, Kienle made another feature film with Die Vierhand and directed two television films, including a crime scene . In 2018, the six-part series Bad Banks produced by ZDF and Arte , for which Kienle wrote as head author, was premiered at the Berlinale as the only German series in the Berlinale Series section . Kienle is also the head writer for the second season of Bad Banks .
