Rolf Basedow

Rolf Basedow (* 1947 in Hamburg ) is a German screenwriter .

Life

After studying at the HFF Munich , Rolf Basedow initially worked as a film editor . He also directed in the 1970s and 80s. Especially in cooperation with the director Dominik Graf , who has realized 12 of his scripts so far (as of 2010), he has received several awards. He received the Adolf Grimme Prize for the scripts for the crime films Polizeiruf 110: He should be dead and a city is being blackmailed . In 1998 he won the Bavarian Film Prize for the screenplay for Doris Dörries film Am I beautiful? .

Basedow also wrote the screenplay for Graf's ten-part television miniseries In the Face of the Crime (2010), a milieu study on police and gangster life in Berlin, for which he also received a Grimme Prize in 2011:
