action
Hans Sperling is a police officer with body and soul. In the course of time he has worked his way up to chief detective and is now head of the serious crime investigation team in the capital Berlin. After his wife Jutta had committed suicide and jumped from the Europacenter, he had to deal with this stroke of fate, which he succeeded in doing without being bitter, but his daughter had turned away from him because he never had time for his family due to his police work and she blames him for her mother's death.
Sperling's ability to love and a certain devotion to people and their destinies make him a good investigator. He often empathizes with the perpetrators, feels their motives and thus finds the solution, which he approaches with calm and perseverance. Often times he makes further investigations and is not satisfied with a quick fix.
