Torsten C. Fischer (* 1963 in Marl ) is a German film director and screenwriter . Since the early 1990s, he has mainly directed television films , such as The Lawyer and His Guest with Heino Ferch and Götz George , The Desire of Love with Tobias Moretti or the biopic Romy with Jessica Schwarz and Thomas Kretschmann .

life and work

Fischer studied art history, philosophy and theater studies in Berlin. From 1989 to 1995 he studied at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin .

He made his directorial debut in 1991/1992 with the film The Flying Children , for which he also wrote the screenplay. Since then he has directed several television films and shot for various series such as Double Use . Since 2005 he has directed numerous Tatort productions. With the crime scene - The Reinhardt case he achieved an outstanding success with critics and viewers, there with a market share of 30%.
