Stefan Scheider

Stefan Scheider (born January 16, 1962 in Regensburg ) is a German journalist and presenter for Bavarian television . Among other things, he has moderated the main edition of the news program Rundschau and the ARD focal point since 1999 .

Life

During Stefan's childhood, the Scheider family moved from Regensburg to Hamburg , where he started school. In Sigmaringen he first attended a grammar school, he passed his Abitur in 1982 at the grammar school Unterhaching near Munich. After his military service in the Bundeswehr media group , Stefan Scheider studied communication science , political science and sociology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1985 to 1990 . After completing his studies, he began his career at Bayerischer Rundfunk in 1990, initially as a journalist in the current field, and later established himself as a presenter in the BR and ARD.

The political journalist was the BR state parliament correspondent from 1993 to 1996, and from 1996 to 1999 he moderated the Rundschau-Nacht . Since 1999 he has regularly moderated the main edition of the Rundschau and until the end of 2017 the ARD midday magazine . Scheider also presented the special programs ARD-Brennpunkt and BR extra several times.

Scheider is married and lives in Gmund am Tegernsee .
