In the parking garage of a shopping center, a black jeep runs over a woman who has just loaded her purchases into the car. The crime is filmed by surveillance cameras, but the driver and the sequence of events cannot be recognized. Nina Rubins and Robert Karow's investigations are directed first against Birgit Hahne - she is the owner of the older Jeep Cherokee and a former friend of the victim Katharina Werner.

At the time of the crime, the three girls Louisa, Paula and Charlotte were also in the parking garage; they are schoolmates of Katharina Werner's son Ben.

Rubin and Karow arrest the girls when they try to dispose of the jeep. They try to cover each other up by all of them confessing to have driven the jeep. When the situation in the parking garage is recreated with the suspects, Louisa and Charlotte finally incriminate Paula for having driven the car.
