Valerie Koch (born September 24, 1974 in Kirchheim unter Teck ) is a German theater and film actress .

life and work

As a teenager, Koch gained his first acting experience in a school theater group. From 1996 to 2000 she studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . This was followed by jobs at various theaters, including the Maxim Gorki Theater , the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg and the Stuttgart State Theater .

In 2001 Koch made her film and television debut in the two-part television series Sophie - Sissi's Little Sister , after which she played mostly theater. But she was also cast in a few film roles, such as in the thriller A Dead Brother or the psychodrama The Caller at the side of Esther Schweins . In 2008 she received a nomination for the German Film Award for best leading actress.
