The friend's wife is a German TV film by Maris Pfeiffer from 2013. It is the 56th episode of the crime series Ein starkes Team . In this case, Florian Martens alias Otto Garber determined for the first time without Maja Maranow alias Verena Berthold, who is on a course. Garber is investigating alongside Katharina Dammers alias Ulrike Krumbiegel .

Chief Detective Verena Berthold is currently on a training course and so her colleague Otto Garber has to work with colleague Katharina Dammers in a kidnapping case. Rüdiger Körber, the husband of the kidnapped Julia Körber, had thought of getting along without the police and therefore agreed to meet the kidnapper alone. The ransom delivery went wrong and the kidnapper was shot.
Martin Liebig, who does not speak well to his neighbors, testifies to the questioning by Ben Kolberg that Ms. Körber left the house with a young man three days ago. A phantom drawing shows that the kidnapper could have an accomplice. It is to be feared, however, that something has happened to this man too, because the forensic doctor discovered traces of blood on the victim's hands, which did not come from either the Körbers or himself. Since no further ransom demands are received, there is no trace of the kidnapped wife.
The Körbers were regular visitors to a swinger club and so Otto Garber hopes to get information about possible people Mr. Körber or his wife met there. He was amazed when he met his friend “Sputnik” in the club as a representative for erotic needs. First of all, nobody can help identify the dead person or the possible accomplice from the phantom image. Only a further demand brings success and the accomplice is found. However, he is actually dead and so there is again no indication of Julia Körber's whereabouts. During the interrogation of the swinger club operator, however, it comes to light that Ms. Koerber had a boyfriend and wanted to leave her husband.
Otto Garber is therefore clear that Körber staged the kidnapping himself and must therefore know where his wife is being held. Fatally, Julia Körber is chained to a pipe in an old swimming pool that has been allowing water to flow into the otherwise empty pool for hours. After the police can follow Körber to the hiding place, his wife is freed just in time.

Sputnik , whose role as a businessman in the series is laid out as a running gag , works in this episode as an "erosbuttler" and sells sex supplies in the swingers club.
