Sippenhaft is a German television film by Johannes Grieser from 2006. It is the 31st episode of the crime series A strong team with Maja Maranow and Florian Martens in the leading roles.

action

The delicatessen company Bosbach is blackmailed by a stranger. After the death of a customer who died of poisoned yoghurt, Chief Detective Verena Berthold and colleague Otto Garber investigate. The chain of stores is run by the brothers Frederick and Florian Bosbach, while their sister Fiona takes care of the sick father and company founder, who is bedridden after a stroke. You did not take your first threatening letter seriously and are now ready to pay the required amount after the fatal attack. The transfer of money fails, however, and does not provide any information about the blackmailer. After research by the investigators, only one perpetrator from the group of employees comes into question, who still seems to have an old account with the entrepreneurial family open. In order to find out something about this, Garber, who has just come back from vacation, lets himself be hired as a temporary worker in the warehouse of the delicatessen company.

There is a reference to the Croat Tomislav Pavic, who was employed by Bosbach and whose wife has a relationship with Florian Bosbach. Jelena Pavic, however, is convinced that her husband would not be capable of such an act. However, she is mistaken in that one evening he ambushes Florian Bosbach and kills him with a stone in an argument. After a short escape he can be caught and admits the act. However, he has nothing to do with the poisoned yogurt. In retrospect it even turns out that Bosbach did not die from that one blow, but that someone struck again after him.

Verena Berthold has had the feeling for a long time that there are more problems within the Bosbach family than it initially appeared. After her research, Fiona Bosbach had a relationship with Phillip Hüttner, the commercial director of the delicatessen company. They had known each other from childhood and until recently she was expecting a child. She aborted it a few weeks ago and ended the relationship with Hüttner. A conversation with Hüttner's mother reveals that Phillip Hüttner is an illegitimate offspring of the old Bosbach and Fiona is thus his half-sister.

Phillip Hüttner suffered from being an outsider within the Bosbach family from an early age and was the “scapegoat” for everything the brothers had also done. After he had learned the truth and thus could not be with Fiona, his anger discharged. He took advantage of the situation and killed Florian. After making some kind of confession to his father and brother, he shoots himself.
