Andreea Chira

Andreea Chira (born February 3, 1991 in Bucharest , Romania ) is a Romanian panflutist .

Life

Chira comes from a family in which musical traditions were maintained. At the age of 11 her musical talent was discovered at the Institut Palatul Naţional al Copiilor. From the age of 12, she studied as a pan flutist at the music high school Dinu Lipatti (Liceul de Muzică "Dinu Lipatti") in Bucharest in the master class of the music professor Cornel Pană. In 2010 she took part in the Eurovision Young Musicians music competition. In 2011 she completed her music studies at the Dinu Lipatti Music High School with honors and went to Western Europe . In Vienna she began studying musicology at the University of Vienna . She has lived permanently in Vienna since 2012.

Through a concert agency in Vienna, she gave concerts as a panflutist in Austria , Luxembourg and Romania. Her first album was created in collaboration with Austrian composer Roland Baumgartner . Baumgartner also built special pan flute music into his musical compositions for Chira . Chira had several appearances as a soloist in Baumgartner's musicals in Vienna, Austria and on tours in Austria and Germany.

In February 2013 she performed in the Hundertwasser Musical at the Pygmalion Theater Vienna ! The play of songs on; She gave guest performances with Hundertwasser at the Salzhof in Freistadt (Upper Austria) and in Bamberg at the ETA-Hoffmann-Theater (February and April 2013). In May 2013 she appeared again at the Pygmalion Theater Vienna, this time in Sisi - the soul of an empress . In 2014 and 2015 she was then a soloist in the performances of Baumgartner's operetta Flattervolle Herzen at the Romantic Theater in Untermarkersdorf . Since then, Chira has continued to perform regionally and nationally as a soloist.

From 2017 she worked with the conductors Claudio Scimone (†) and Gian Luigi Zampieri. As part of the gala concert "20 Years of Live Music Now Austria", she had her first appearance in October 2017 at the Wiener Konzerthaus and was invited by Claudio Scimone to play a Christmas concert in Padua with the I Solisti Veneti .

In 2019 she played the concert series “ The Four Seasons ” by Antonio Vivaldi together with the Kahlo Ensemble in Vienna . In early July 2019 Andreea Chira gave a concert in Wuxi , China , where she also held a master class; A tour through South Korea followed in September 2019 . In December 2019 Andreea Chira gave a guest appearance at a Christmas concert organized by the Austrian Embassy in Bucharest in the broadcasting hall (Sala Radio) in Bucharest, Romania. Chira has also performed with various chamber orchestras in Poland , the Czech Republic and Romania . In May 2020 she gave in common with that of Moldova originating accordionist Pavel Efremov an online concert where the two artists, the "Libertango" music of Astor Piazzolla played.
