Stefan Kurt
Stefan Kurt (born October 22, 1959 in Bern ) is a Swiss film and theater actor .
Life
Primary school teacher training. Kurt then received his training as an actor at the Conservatory for Music and Theater in Bern (today's name: Bern University of the Arts ).
From 1985 to 1993 he was a member of the ensemble of the Hamburg Thalia Theater and worked with directors such as Jürgen Flimm and Robert Wilson ("The Black Rider"). For his portrayal of Silvio in The Servant of Two Men , he received the Boy Gobert Prize in 1987 . In 2003 he played Valerio in Robert Wilson's production of Leonce and Lena by Georg Büchner at the Berliner Ensemble , where he also played other leading roles such as: B. in A Winter's Tale by Shakespeare and 10 years as Mackie Messer in Bertolt Brecht's Threepenny Opera. Kurt also played in several productions by Barbara Frey at the Zurich Schauspielhaus: "Drei Schwestern", "Meer" and "Jakob von Gunten". Kurt also played various musical roles at the Komische Oper Berlin, at the Casinotheater Winterthur Kurt played the "Frosch" (director: Stefan Huber ) and at the Basel Opera 2019 the "Zaza" in the cage full of fools "directed by Martin Berger.
Since 1993 Stefan Kurt has worked in numerous television and cinema productions. He repeatedly stood in front of the camera under the direction of Oliver Storz . For Der Schattenmann and Towards the End of the Night he was awarded the Adolf Grimme Prize in 1997 and 1999, respectively . For his performance in Dreileben - Eine Minute Dunkel , Stefan Kurt was nominated for the German Television Award in 2011 in the Best Actor category. As early as 1996, he had received its predecessor, the Telestar , for Der Schattenmann .
In the movies Pettson and Findus - The most beautiful Christmas ever (2016) and Pettson and Findus - Findus is moving (2018) he was cast as "Pettson".
At the ceremony of the Swiss Film Prize in 2018 he was for his performance in the flying dog Papa Moll and kidnapping as a Best Actor nomination. In 2019 he played the main role in the movie Jagdzeit by Sabine Boss .
In Quentin Tarantino's Western The Hateful Eight (2015) Kurt was used for the German-language dubbing of Tim Roth in the role of Oswaldo Mobray. He also lent Marc Rylance his voice in the fantasy movie BFG - Big Friendly Giant by Steven Spielberg .
Stefan Kurt is a member of the German Academy of Performing Arts , the Swiss Film Academy, the German Film Academy and the Federal Drama Association (BFFS).
