Justus von Dohnányi
Justus von Dohnanyi [ donaːni ] (* 2. December 1960 in Lübeck , Schleswig-Holstein ) is a German film and television actor , author and director .
Career
family
Justus von Dohnányi is the son of the conductor Christoph von Dohnányi and the actress Renate Zillessen . He is the grandson of the resistance fighter Hans von Dohnanyi and great-grandson of the Hungarian composer Ernst von Dohnányi . His uncle is the former mayor of Hamburg , Klaus von Dohnanyi . On the part of his grandmother Christine von Dohnanyi, née Bonhoeffer, he is also a great-grandson of Karl Bonhoeffer and a great-nephew of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who was murdered on April 9, 1945 in the Flossenbürg concentration camp . He studied acting at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Hamburg. After his studies he had engagements at the Stadttheater in Frankfurt and at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. He lives in Hamburg and has two children.
Career
He had his first role in a movie in 1999 in the international production Jakob the Liar . He can often be seen in German television productions, including a. in the series Tatort , in which, for example, in 2011 he played the role of Sven Döring in the 800th episode A Better World . In 2001 he was awarded the German Film Prize for his supporting role in the film The Experiment . In 2004 he was seen in two productions that deal with the time of the Second World War , namely in The Downfall and in Napola - Elite for the Führer . He had his next major film role at the side of Til Schweiger and Christian Ulmen in the German production Herrenherzen by Simon Verhoeven , which again won him the German Film Prize and, with 2.1 million viewers, was the most successful comedy in Dohnányi's career to date.
In the summer of 2006 Justus von Dohnányi made his directorial debut. He directed, wrote the screenplay, produced and played a supporting role for the film Up to the Elbow , for which he received a nomination for the German Film Prize 2008 .
