Renate Zillessen

Renate Zillessen (born September 26, 1931 in Düsseldorf , † 1992 ) was a German actress .

Life

Renate Zillessen received her artistic training at the beginning of the 1950s with Gustaf Gründgens and made her stage debut at the theater in her hometown in 1951 under his artistic direction . This was followed by engagements at the Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt am Main (1952–1955), at the Bayerische Staatsschauspiel (1956–1958) and in Lübeck , where her son was born in late 1960, Hanover , Kassel , and Göttingen .

Renate Zillessen made contact with the still young Federal Republican television at an early stage, but she always remained primarily connected to the stage. Her most important television assignment was the title heroine in Fritz Umgelter's television biography Elsa Brändström in 1971 . Just one year later, after her role as the nurse Therese in the ZDF series Der Bastian , the artist finished her work in front of the camera.

Renate Zillessen was married to the conductor Christoph von Dohnányi until the 1970s . The son of both is the actor Justus von Dohnányi .
