Familienbande is a German TV film by Martin Kinkel from 2017. It is the 73rd episode of the crime series A strong team with Florian Martens and Stefanie Stappenbeck in the leading roles. It is Linett Wachow's ninth mission at Otto Garber's side .

The entrepreneur's daughter Sarah Reibert is supposed to be kidnapped. Since she regularly picks up her brother Niels from physiotherapy, the perpetrators use this opportunity. When they drag the girl into a previously stolen car in the underground car park, they kill the Reiberts driver who opposes them. After taking the girl into her hiding place, they notice that their victim is not Sarah Reibert, but the Danish au pair Jette Andersen. Confused but determined to enforce their ransom demand, the kidnappers call the Reiberts. But Uwe Reibert makes it clear to them that he will not pay any money. The commissioners Garber, Wachow and Klöckner, who were charged with the kidnapping case, are appalled by the cold-bloodedness of Reibert. Even if the kidnappers kidnapped the wrong victim, which suggests that they do not know Reibert's daughter personally, they were otherwise very clever. The investigators assume, however, that one of the two masked perpetrators was a woman.

A first, vague reference leads to Carsten Kliefoth, who until recently worked as a gardener for the Reiberts and was dismissed. A check initially does not corroborate the suspicion of involvement, and the man also has an alibi. So the investigators put all hope in the handover of the ransom, which Reibert has now decided to pay. Despite good preparation, the handover fails because of Reibert's ineptitude and the perpetrator escapes undetected. Team boss Reddemann assumes that the kidnappers have a liaison who provides them with current information. Nevertheless, the investigators have a strange suspicion against Uwe Reibert, who has so far done everything to ensure that Jette is not released.

The search for Jette Andersen's cell phone, which the kidnappers had thrown out of the car as a precautionary measure, is successful and a fingerprint secured on it leads to Tobias Stens. He has a criminal record and is friends with Melanie Meiners, who is also on file with the police. When Garber and Klöckner look around their apartment, they find a photo that shows Stens together with Carsten Kliefoth, so that the connections are now clear to them. There are now disagreements among the kidnappers. When Kliefoth and Meiners decide to kidnap Reibert's son as well, Stens gets out and wants to go to the police. Kliefoth then kills him and is arrested by the police the next day. However, he does not provide any information about Jette's whereabouts. Surprisingly, there are indications that Daniel, the friend of Reibert's daughter, initiated the kidnapping. The investigators speak to Sarah Reibert about it and when she learns that her boyfriend is to be put out for a search, she breaks her silence. She had asked Daniel to look for people to pretend to kidnap so that her father would finally worry about her and not always only about her little brother. She had neither wanted nor suspected that this would get out of hand.

Unfortunately, this does not solve the case, because Jette Andersen also has her secret and she is now using the kidnapping for her own purposes. A few months ago she found out that Uwe Reibert is her biological father. That is why she deliberately sought to be close to Sarah and her family. When she had to find out that Reibert, although he didn't even know that he was her father, didn't want to pay any ransom for her, she decided to take revenge. She takes her kidnapper into her confidence and plans with her to kidnap Reibert's son at another doctor's appointment in order to get the ransom after all. But this kidnapping also goes wrong because Reibert comes back early. Jette explains everything to him, but he shoots her in anger. Jette is taken to the clinic and Melanie Meiners arrested.
