Sólveig Arnarsdóttir (born January 26, 1973 in Iceland ) is an Icelandic actress .

Life

Sólveig Arnarsdóttir is the daughter of the Icelandic actor couple Arnar Jónsson and Þórhildur Þorleifsdóttir . She learned acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . She has worked as a theater actress at the National Theater Iceland , the Icelandic Opera, the Icelandic State Theater and the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin. Since the 2014/2015 season she has been a member of the ensemble at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden , where she was already engaged as a guest in Engel des Universum the previous season . 2016 she starred in Mother Courage and Her Children , directed by Thorleifur Örn Arnarsson and dollhouse of Lillian Hellman directed by Tilo Nest with.

She became known to a wider German audience through the role of Uschi Jacobs in the ZDF crime film series Das Duo , which she embodied between 2002 and 2006. From 2006 to 2012 she played in the ZDF crime film series Der Kommissar und das Meer Karin Jacobsson, the assistant to the Commissioner Anders, portrayed by Walter Sittler . Most recently she was seen in 2014 in the four-part Icelandic television crime film Hraunið , which was also broadcast in the German-dubbed version with the title Lava in 2016 .

In addition to her native Icelandic, Sólveig Arnarsdóttir speaks Danish, Norwegian, German, English and Spanish. The passionate rider spends her free time fencing, skiing and dancing. For her engagement she moved from Reykjavík to Wiesbaden .
