Matthi Faust

Matthi Faust , actually Matthias Faust , (* 1980 in Wismar ) is a German actor .

Life

As a teenager, Faust played in the youth theater ensemble of the Schauspielhaus Hamburg . It was there that he discovered his interest in acting. From 2005 to 2009 Faust completed his acting training at the University of Music and Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig .

Faust has worked in various cinema, film and television productions since 2009. In 2010 he had the male lead in the movie Bedways ; he played the actor Hans Alexander Dahn. He played the police student Mike Kern in the Police Call 110 crime thriller Fremde im Spiegel (2010); this was his first major television role.

In 2014 he took on the male lead role of chief detective Fritz Munro in the Sat.1 crime series Josephine Klick - Alone Among Cops .

Faust had episode roles a. a. in the series Großstadtrevier (2012; as husband and burglary victim Sven Schümann), In aller Freund (2012; as husband of a heavily pregnant patient), Der Kriminalist (2012; as geriatric nurse and murder victim Florian Matteit), Notruf Hafenkante (2013) and Die Bergretter ( 2014; as Tom, the brother of the conservationist Jana).

In February 2015 he was seen in the ZDF television series Der Bergdoktor in a leading role in the episode. He played the rally driver Max Griebel, who is suffering from the onset of Alzheimer's disease. In April 2016, Faust was seen in the ZDF crime series Der Alte in an episode role as a business partner of a murdered fashion designer. In the 3rd season of the ZDF series Dr. Klein (2016) took on a recurring series role as Max's class teacher David Sommer.

In March 2017 he was in the ZDF crime series A strong team in the film Battleship as Chief Commissioner Sebastian Klöckner from the “Organized Crime” department. In the film A strong team: Always dies (first broadcast: September 2017) he made his debut as a permanent member of the investigative team of the ZDF crime series. In the television series Daheim in den Bergen , which has been broadcast on Das Erste since May 2018 , Faust plays the role of Florian Leitner as a member of the main cast, the childhood love of the female main character Lisa Huber ( Theresa Scholze ). In the opening episode of the 16th season of the ZDF series SOKO Wismar (2019), Faust took on an episode role as the suspected landscape architect Hendrik Blohm.

Faust's hobbies include boxing and kung fu . He lives in Berlin.
