At home in the mountains is a home movie series of ARD with Theresa Scholze , Catherine Bode , Matthi Faust and Thomas Unger in the lead roles. The film series has been broadcast since 2018 and tells the story of two families who were once friends.
action
The Huber and Leitner families were once friends until a tragic accident broke the friendship. Lorenz Huber caused an accident in which the youngest Leitner son died. It was twenty years ago now, but this stroke of fate still stands in the way of reconciliation. The matter started to move when it became clear that an unplanned offspring was on the horizon between the Huber and the Leitner.

This is probably why many ARD and ZDF films are set either on islands or in mountain villages. ”“ Hattop and cameraman Konstantin Kröning [have] made sure that the Allgäu is magnificent to look at: sunset behind mountain peaks, picturesque red evening skies and an untouched natural lake serve the longing after untouched nature. In view of the clearly regional character of the story, it is all the more surprising that all participants speak Standard German; only Unger sounds a bit Bavarian. ”But otherwise the Degeto productions are“ miles away from realism […]. ”
