Zimmer mit Stall is a television series that has been produced by Roxy Film for Das Erste since 2018 on behalf of ARD Degeto . Sophie has had enough of life in the big city of Munich, she fell in love with an old farmhouse in the country and she really wants it. Instead, she quits her job as a stewardess and renounces the luxury of city life. But her husband Philippe doesn't like it because she skipped him and he actually wanted to go to Paris with her and their daughter Leonie, where he can take over his parents' restaurant. Since he cannot get anything from country life, he goes to Paris alone. Leonie has to stay with her mother, which doesn't suit her at all. When Sophie was informed by the seller of the Fuchsbichlerhof that the current resident, Barthl, had the right to use the stable for life, she had no suspicions as animals belong in the stable for her. When the old grumbler moves into the stable himself, she is quite surprised. So they start bullying each other, hoping one of them gives in and leaves. But Sophie and Barthl are too stubborn for that. So everything takes its course, you go out of your way until Sophie wants to offer guest rooms with a stable.

“The Upper Bavarian landscape, viewed through the rose-colored glasses of a woman in her late 40s who renounced big city life, without the usual clichés, but with a subcutaneous rural realism including a contemporary relationship variant: This is what“ Room with stable - Off to the mountains ”(Degeto / Roxy Movie). The pleasant flow of the film is determined by the main character, a woman with a spontaneous, life-affirming manner. Szyszkowitz is the perfect cast: her smile is irresistible and, as a bitch, great class. The dramaturgy, which is unusual for an entertainment film, also corresponds to the modern image of women. In addition to the penchant for the episodic, what is special is the renunciation of a dramatized and excessively comedic exaggerated plot. That's exactly what makes you happy! "

"After the almost five million viewers who switched on" Zimmer mit Stall "(ARD / Roxy Film) in 2018, the basic conflict, which was already intended as a series, was doubly ripe for a sequel.
