Ursula Woerner

Ursula Woerner (* 1970 ) is a German film producer .

Woerner studied German, media studies and psychology. Between 1996 and 2000 she worked as a dramaturge in international co-productions at KirchMedia . In 2000 she became Head of Development at the independent Munich film production company Hofmann & Voges .

In 2001 Woerner took over the management of Roxy Film , then a subsidiary of the Kirch Group, together with Annie Brunner and Andreas Richter . In 2003 Woerner, Brunner and Richter became managing partners of Roxy as part of a management buyout . At first they mainly produced television films from the more demanding segment. In 2006, Marcus H. Rosenmüller's movie Who dies earlier is dead longer , followed in 2011 by Almanya - Willkommen in Deutschland . Both were popular with audiences and won high-profile awards. Another collaboration with Marcus H. Rosenmüller is the 2010 movie Summer in Orange .

Ursula Woerner is a member of the German Film Academy .
