Andreas Richter (* 1965 ) is a German film producer and media manager .

Life

Richter studied business administration with an interdisciplinary degree in sociology and psychology . From 1995 to 1997, the Doctor was graduate in business management assistant in the program area of the Kirch group belonging Munich TaurusFilm and office manager of Jan Mojto . From 1997 to 2001 he was in charge of the German-language fictional co-productions of the Kirch Group. From 1998 he was also managing director of the Janus Group , another Kirch subsidiary that mainly produces television content, since 2000 also at Roxy Film, which Kirch bought up in 1998 and has since been inactive . After Kirch insolvency, Richter and other shareholders took over Janus TV and Roxy Film in a management buyout in 2003 .

At Roxy Film, Richter, together with his co-partners Annie Brunner and Ursula Woerner, has been producing mainly television films from the more demanding segment since 2001. In 2006, Marcus H. Rosenmüller's movie Who dies earlier is dead longer , followed in 2011 by Almanya - Willkommen in Deutschland . Both were popular with audiences and won high-profile awards. Another collaboration with Marcus H. Rosenmüller is the movie Summer in Orange .

Andreas Richter is a member of the German Film Academy .
