Stefan Wilkening

Stefan Wilkening (* 1967 in Hatzenport ) is a German actor and speaker.

Life

After studying theology in 1992 at the University of Mainz, Wilkening obtained his acting diploma in 1996 from the Falckenberg School in Munich. In addition, he trained as a speaker with the radio presenter and actor Gustl Weishappel and initially worked as a news anchor for Radio 7 in Ulm.

As a stage actor, Wilkening found his first engagements in various roles at the Munich Kammerspiele under Dieter Dorn . From 1996 to 2000 he was at the Schauspiel Frankfurt a . a. seen in Oscar Wilde's Bunbury as Algernoon and as Mercutio in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and as Marquis Posa in Don Carlos .

Wilkening was a permanent member of the Bavarian State Theater from 2000 to 2011 and played a. a. the main role of Alonso Quijano (Don Quixote) in the play of the same name.

In addition to his stage work, Wilkening is also active as a speaker and can be heard in various radio and audio book productions. Various readings and live audio plays e.g. B. with the radio orchestra of Bavarian radio take place regularly. Furthermore he is in the Bavarian radio , u. a. at the "Betthupferl" to hear. As an actor, you could see Wilkening on television, among others, in Tatort , the Rosenheim cops and Hubert and Staller . In the cinema, he worked as Caporal Mayer in Volker Schlöndorff's film diplomacy or as Mr. Little in the movie Labyrinth of Lies by Giulio Ricciarelli .

At the Augsburg Theater in 2016 he played Feri von Kerekes in the Kálmán operetta Die Csárdásfürstin .

In 2019 he participated in the annual concert series Mozart Week in Salzburg under the direction of Rolando Villazón . Together with Maximilian Kromer and Emmanuel Tjeknavorian on Mozart's original instruments, Papa's dearest Mozart letters were performed in the performance .
