Gustl Weishappel (born May 27, 1925 in Graz ; † April 21, 2008 in Graefelfing ) was a radio presenter and actor from Austria who worked in Germany .

Life

Weishappel initially worked as an actor after the end of the war. In 1955 he came to Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) and worked there in entertainment and school radio as a speaker, presenter, director and actor. At the beginning of the 1960s, he took over the moderation of the early morning show Musikjournal on the Bayern 1 program , which he gave his voice to over the next three decades. The announcement of the current temperature after a "look at the window sill" became legendary. After the age-related abandonment of the program in 1995, he continued to work for the BR as a speaker. He also appeared in the radio plays Literature (1958), Ludus de nato Infante mirificus (1971), Die Bernauerin (1980) and Pater Brown (1993) and in 1992 dubbed the eagle owl in the cartoon The Little Ghost .

In addition to his work in radio, Weishappel has appeared in numerous television and film roles. Among other things, he played the teacher in Master Eder and his Pumuckl .

In 1987 he was also detective chief Wislitschek in the Munich crime scene series Pension Tosca or the stars do not lie on the side of his fellow actor Hans Brenner investigative.

Gustl Weishappel died at the age of 82 and was buried in the Gräfelfing cemetery in the Munich district .
