Das kleine Gespenst is a German cartoon from 1992. The animation production is based on the children's book Das kleine Gespenst by Otfried Preußler . The film premiere in Germany was on October 29, 1992.

action

The little ghost lives with his best friend, the eagle owl, at Eulenstein Castle. His dearest wish is to see the world in daylight. One day, when the little ghost wakes up, it realizes that it is actually not night, but bright day. It enthusiastically explores the world in daylight and is happy about the bright colors. But since it has turned black due to a ray of sunshine, people are afraid of the little ghost and it causes a lot of mischief. When the little ghost turned the historic festival of the siege of the city by the Swedes into chaos, because it thought that General Torstenson, whom it had driven away at the time, had returned, the eagle owl and three children helped him. They ask the master clockmaker to set the wrongly set town hall clock, which must be timed by the ghost, from noon to midnight. The next night the little ghost actually wakes up and can return to the castle to see the eagle owl. When it is hit by a moonbeam, it is delighted to find that it has turned white again.

Reviews

"With its calm narrative flow and carefully formulated" educational messages ", an animated film that is entirely geared towards the comprehension of the youngest cinema-goers, but which should also disappoint them with its unsatisfactory artistic design."

"Child-friendly, cute cartoon adaptation of Otfried Preussler's children's book, the animation of which looks very bumpy and old-fashioned."

“Based on the wonderful children's book by Otfried Preußler, the German cartoon veteran Curt Linda directed this child-friendly, funny cartoon. This is not exactly brilliant in terms of tricks, but it is still very entertaining for small children. "
