The Active Music Publishing Company Ltd. is a German audio book publishing for children and young people, based in Dortmund . It publishes around 50 audio books and radio plays every year. The publishing brand Igel Records belongs to the publishing house ( own spelling in capital letters).

Active Musik Verlagsgesellschaft has been publishing audio CDs for children under the audio book label Igel Records since 1990 . In autumn 2006 Igel Genius was founded as a label for non-fiction audio books. Since spring 2015, however, all CDs have been released under the label Igel Records.

Classics, fairy tales and fiction for children and young people are published, e. B. by authors such as Jutta Richter , Marliese Arold , Timo Parvela , Dimiter Inkiow , Helme Heine , Jürgen Banscherus , Anu Stohner, Gernot Gricksch or Dagmar Geisler. In addition to audio books on toddler employment, the publisher also publishes a music program with traditional dance and play songs by artists such as Fredrik Vahle , Klaus W. Hoffmann , Klaus Heider , Cattu, etc. The Greek sagas by Dimiter Inkiow are among the publisher's successful products. There are also recordings on the subjects of history, literature and music, e. B. the series Strong Pieces, which is created in cooperation with the Bavarian Radio .
