Ohrkanus audio book and radio play award

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ohrkanus audio book and radio play award honored special achievements of the German language culture in the media of audio books and radio plays in German-speaking countries. It was sponsored annually from 2007 to 2013 by the Ohrkanus e. V. awarded, an association that has set itself the goal of making the medium of radio plays and audio books better known to the public.

The jury consisted of three equal parts (a) the Ohrkanus board and critics as well as (b) producers and (c) fans on the Internet. The first award of the prize, which was awarded in around 20 categories, took place between 2007 and 2009 in Rüsselsheim and Essen. From 2010 to 2013 the prize was awarded in Berlin. The 2011 awards ceremony in the Babylon cinema could be followed live on the Internet on audio book FM.

An award ceremony in 2014 was canceled for financial and time reasons. In 2014, the organizers announced in a Facebook comment that they could no longer find any motivation or time to continue the event. The website is no longer online either.
