Jutta Richter

Jutta Richter (born September 30, 1955 in Burgsteinfurt , Westphalia ) is a German author of children's and youth literature .

Life

Jutta Richter spent her youth in the Ruhr area and Sauerland . She attended the Mariengymnasium Arnsberg . At the age of 15 she went to Detroit ( USA ) for a year . In order not to forget her mother tongue, she wrote her first book there, which she published as a student.

After a study of theology , German literature and journalism in Münster she lives since 1978 as a freelance writer in Ascheberg and in Lucca in Tuscany .

She has received numerous awards for her stories, which are mainly aimed at children and young people. a. received the German Youth Literature Prize . In addition, she writes radio plays, children's plays and songs, such as B. sometimes sings in her audio book Witches Forest and Magic Socks herself.

Jutta Richter was married to Ralf Thenior and has one daughter.
