Susanne Janssen

Susanne Janssen (* 1965 in Aachen ) is a German book illustrator and painter.

Janssen studied graphics and design with Wolf Erlbruch at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences and now lives in Alsace / France.

Awards

• 1994 Owl of the Month
• 1994 “The most beautiful books” by the international jury of the Book Art Foundation for the bet, who gets angry first
• 1994 Troisdorf picture book award (3rd prize) for the bet, who gets angry first
• In 1995 on the shortlist for the German Youth Literature Prize for Die Wette, who gets angry first
• 1997 Golden Apple at the Biennale for Illustrations in Bratislava for The Bet Who Gets Angry First
