Sabine Büchner

Sabine Büchner (* 1964 in Wuppertal ) is a German illustrator of picture and children's books. She also writes and illustrates her own picture books.

Life

She initially worked as a social worker in a children's home. From 1994 she studied communication design in Wuppertal with a focus on illustration and in 1996 switched to the film and television college "Konrad Wolf" in Babelsberg to study animation. During her studies, she animated the characters from cartoon productions for the show with the mouse . In 2004 she graduated from art college with the animated film “Der Wolkengucker” and a thesis on animation and poetry.

Her first picture book Forever Seven was awarded the Troisdorf picture book scholarship in 2006.

Sabine Büchner lives today with her son in Berlin.
