Claus Dieter Clausnitzer (born January 15, 1939 in Saarbrücken ) is a German actor .

Training and theater work

Clausnitzer completed his acting studies at the New Munich Drama School . His engagements and guest performances have taken him to the Residenztheater in Munich , the Theater St. Gallen, the Deutsches Theater Göttingen , the Theater Bremen , the Schauspielhaus Bochum and the George Tabori theater laboratory . He performed at the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen , the Kreuzgangspiele Feuchtwangen , the Burgfestspiele Würzburg and the Innsbruck Summer Games. From 1976 to 2010 Clausnitzer was a member of the Dortmund Schauspiel ensemble . The Dortmund Theater honored him in 2007 with the title Chamber Actor .

In 1988 he played the role of Schlomo Herzl in the German premiere of the drama Mein Kampf at the Dortmund Theater .

Clausnitzer headed the studio stage of the New Munich Drama School for two years.

Television work

In the mid-1970s, Clausnitzer, along with Heinz Meier and Evelyn Hamann, was part of Loriot's sketch partners. For example, he played the annoyed director in the TV version of Der Lottogewinner . In 1997 he had a small supporting role in the second Ballauf-und-Schenk- Tatort episode bombshell . Since 2002 he has been seen regularly as the father of Chief Inspector Thiel ( Axel Prahl ) in the WDR crime scene in Münster .
