Compass point

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Circle points are the two points in a riding arena at which a circle touches the long side of the track. In a 20 × 40 m square, they are at a distance of 10 m from the corner and from the middle of the long side; the two circles of such a square have a radius of 10 m and a diameter of 20 m. The compass points are used for orientation in order to place the compass correctly in the arena.
