Robert Jüttner (born November 24, 1959 ) is a former German soccer player .

Player career

Robert Jüttner began his career in Hertha Zehlendorf's youth . With the A-youth of the Zehlendorfer he reached the final of the German championship in 1978 . Despite two goals from Pierre Littbarski, Hertha lost 2-5 to MSV Duisburg in Essen's Uhlenkrugstadion . 1979, in his first season in the senior division, Jüttner was first in the league with his club . As a result, Hertha Zehlendorf played against OSC Bremerhaven for promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga . After a 5-4 win in the first leg, the Berliners lost the second leg 0-1, which meant that Zehlendorf remained third-rate. By winning the league, Hertha 03 took part in the German amateur championship . After victories against SC Herford and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , there was a clash with ESV Ingolstadt-Ringsee in the final . However, the 1-0 win in the second leg was not enough, as the first leg in Ingolstadt was lost 4-1. In the summer of 1979, Robert Jüttner was appointed to the amateur national team by Erich Ribbeck , but this failed in the Olympic qualification against Finland. In the 1979/80 season , Hertha 03 Zehlendorf, with fifth place, clearly missed the previous year's position.

Robert Jüttner then signed a contract with city rivals Hertha BSC, who played in the 2nd Bundesliga North . In 1980/81 Hertha only narrowly missed promotion to third place, as the direct duel against Eintracht Braunschweig in the Berlin Olympic Stadium was still lost despite a 2-1 lead. In 1981/82 the 2nd Bundesliga was played on a single track for the first time. In the end, Hertha rose to the Bundesliga behind FC Schalke 04 , with Jüttner playing in eight games. The Berliners had no chance in the upper house of football and so they were the last to be relegated at the end of the 1982/83 season . Robert Jüttner came on four missions under Georg Gawliczek .

In 1983 Jüttner went to the upper league for Tennis Borussia Berlin , where he was part of the permanent staff under Gerd Achterberg . As a player for Tennis Borussia, Jüttner was voted best player at the international indoor tournament in Berlin in 1984. In 1985 he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with Tebe. But when Gerd Achterberg was replaced by Eckhard Krautzun in autumn 1985 , Jüttner was only on the field twice. He was then suspended by the board for the remainder of the season because he had spoken out against the change of coach internally. After relegation with Tebe, Jüttner returned to Hertha BSC, which was also relegated to the third-class league.

Hertha BSC dominated the action there and suffered only one defeat on the last match day at VfB Neukölln in 1986/87 . Under Jürgen Sundermann , Jüttner was initially unable to get a regular place. In the promotion round, in which the promotion was missed behind BVL 08 Remscheid and SV Meppen , he was then part of the permanent staff except for the first game and was then given a new two-year contract. In 1987/88 Hertha managed to defend the title. After the successful promotion round, in which he had not played a game due to injury, Robert Jüttner ended his career in 1989 after his contract had expired and was not renewed.
