The Oberliga Berlin 1986/87 was the thirteenth season of the Berlin Association ballgame teams conducted Oberliga Berlin .
The second division relegated from the previous year Hertha BSC became champions and qualified for the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga , in which they missed promotion as third in the northern group. Runner-up tennis Borussia Berlin represented Berlin at the German amateur championship finals, in which the team lost in the semi-finals to the later amateur champions MSV Duisburg .
Last year's promoted FV Brandenburg / Lichterfelde and last year's champions and cup winners SC Charlottenburg were relegated to the lower regional league . In return, Wacker 04 Berlin and top division newcomer Türkiyemspor Berlin rose for the following season .
