Football Oberliga Baden-Württemberg 1986/87

The football league Baden-Württemberg 1986/87 was the ninth league season.

Champion of SV Sandhausen , the order for the promotion round to 2. Bundesliga qualified. With a fourth place in his group, however, he missed promotion to paid football ( 2nd Bundesliga ) . The Offenburg FV started as runner-up in the amateur championship .

SC Pfullendorf , VfR Aalen , VfR Heilbronn and FV Lauda were relegated to the subordinate leagues . In return, Amicitia Viernheim , FC Sportfreunde DJK Freiburg and SC Geislingen rose directly into the league for the following season 1987/88 , while SV Linx had to take the detour via the promotion round.

    As champions of the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg, SV Sandhausen met Kickers Offenbach , SpVgg Bayreuth and Eintracht Trier in the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga . After two wins and four defeats, Sandhausen finished fourth in their group with 6:12 goals and 4: 8 points.
