The FC Marbach is a football club from the Swabian Marbach am Neckar .
history
FC Marbach was created on June 4, 1952 when the football department was detached from the Marbach gymnastics club and a new club was founded. Until the 1970s, FC Marbach played in the B and A classes. The upswing of the club began with the promotion to the 2nd amateur league in 1976 and in the association league Württemberg 1981. In 1984 the football club qualified as association league champion for the Oberliga Baden-Wuerttemberg , to which one belonged for eight years without interruption. The first league season, in which FC Marbach achieved 3rd place and thus the Württemberg Amateur Championship, was the most successful in the club's history. After relegation to the association league in 1992 and the regional league in 1996, the club disappeared from national football. After a 15th place in the regional league 2014/15 you play in the district league.
