Postural and positional reactions

As a posture and position reactions is known in veterinary medicine a series of neurological tests to check the function of the central nervous system are used. With these tests, complex sequences of movements are checked, which depend on the motor skills , the spinal cord reflexes , the sensitivity and the coordination ability of the brain. These tests make movement disorders or mild paresis clearer. It is important to always assess all four limbs, as a comparison of both halves of the body is helpful in assessing disorders.
