Harry Griesbeck (born August 22, 1946 ) is a former German football player and coach.

Career

Griesbeck began his professional career in 1966/67 with the newly promoted FC Villingen 08 in the then second -rate regional soccer league south . The attacker who came from FC Schonach developed into a dangerous winger in the black and whites of the Friedengrund Stadium alongside goalkeeper Karl Armbrust and center runner Klaus Bockisch and made 63 regional league appearances with 13 goals in two rounds. The ambitious VfL Bochum from the Regionalliga West signed Griesbeck for the 1968/69 round. In his first year in Bochum he finished third with VfL behind champions Rot-Weiss Oberhausen and Rot-Weiss Essen , tied with runner-up RWE. At the side of playmaker Werner Krämer and striker Hans Walitza , the man from the Black Forest celebrated the championship in the west in 1969/70 and thus moved into the Bundesliga promotion round with the team of coach Hermann Eppenhoff .

There Bochum finished second behind promoted Kickers Offenbach and Griesbeck moved to the 1970/71 season for the southern regional division VfR Heilbronn . For Bochum he played 50 games with nine goals from 1968 to 1970. In his first season the lawn players finished eighth. Harry Griesbeck was the VfR's most successful goalscorer with 17 goals this season. In 1972/73 he played with players like Bernd Hoffmann , Martin Kübler , Karl Alber and Helmut Röhrig for a long time to get promoted to the Bundesliga, but finished sixth after a period of weakness shortly before the end of the season. In the following year they finally qualified for the newly founded 2nd Bundesliga South, where they had to relegate to the 1st amateur league after just one year . One reason for this was that Harry Griesbeck was only able to play two season games due to a protracted injury.

After 137 games and 44 goals Griesbeck left VfR Heilbronn and joined VfB Eppingen , for whom he played again in the 2nd Bundesliga in 1980/81. Then he played actively in the amateur camp for FC Marbach and FV Lauda .

After his active career, Harry Griesbeck worked as a coach at VfR Heilbronn and is currently training a youth team at VfB Bad Rappenau.
