Manfred Schnalke (born March 9, 1965 ) is a former German soccer player .
He began his career at FC Marbach and trained with the first team at the age of 17. In 1984 he rose with Marbach in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . In the summer of 1989 Schnalke moved to VfB Stuttgart for 40,000 D-Marks . He played his first professional game on September 2, 1989, when he was substituted on at half-time in the 2: 4 away defeat at Fortuna Düsseldorf . In total, he came to 19 Bundesliga games in which he scored a goal. In 1991 Manfred Schnalke moved to SV Waldhof Mannheim , for whom he made 107 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga until 1996 . A knee injury ensured that he completely missed the 1996/97 season.
After the descent of Mannheim, Schnalke moved to the regional league promoted VfL Kirchheim / Teck , with whom he could not keep the class and was relegated to the top division. In 1999 he moved to SpVgg Ludwigsburg for one season in the league before saying goodbye to high-class football.
