Detlef Olaidotter (born December 29, 1957 in Lüneburg) is a former German soccer player . The trained bricklayer completed 22 games in the Bundesliga for SV Waldhof Mannheim and was also used in 223 games in the 2nd Bundesliga and 9 DFB Cup games.

career

Olaidotter first played for SV Hagen (Lüneburg) before coming to VfL Osnabrück in the 2nd Bundesliga North in 1979 via Lüneburg SK . There he made his debut on the 1st matchday of the 1979/80 season when he was in the starting line-up in the 2-0 win over SV Arminia Hannover on July 28th. The striker scored his first professional goal in the 4-1 defeat by DSC Wanne-Eickel on August 9 of the same year when he scored the consolation goal for VfL in the 54th minute of play . At the side of Horst Feilzer , he was able to establish himself as a regular player.

In 1983 Olaidotter moved to SV Waldhof Mannheim in the Bundesliga. Here he did not manage to establish himself as a regular player and was used almost exclusively as a substitute. He scored his first first division goal on March 24, 1984 in a 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt . After three short appearances at the beginning of the 1984/85 season, he left the 1st Bundesliga and switched back to the 2nd Bundesliga. The new employer was the Stuttgarter Kickers . After initial difficulties in the first year, he was able to establish himself as a regular alongside Andreas Merkle in the Stuttgart Sturm in his second season . With twelve goals this season he achieved a personal top score. In the following season, however, he could not build on the strong performance and found himself again in the fate of the substitute. In the promotion season 1987/88 he came only to two short assignments and had to end his career after a cruciate ligament tear.

Olaidotter played in the 1987 DFB Cup final.

After the end of his career, Olaidotter took over the coaching position at the amateur club SpVgg Renningen , which he looked after for four years. Since 1996 he has been working as a sports teacher at the children's sports school in Kornwestheim. In the 2005/06 season he took over the training work at the regional division ESG Kornwestheim. After an engagement with the second team of VfB Neckarrem , he coached the team of FC Marbach from the 2012/13 season , with which he was promoted to the Württemberg regional league. In December 2013 he gave up his office. He coached the SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg team from January 2014 to the 2016/17 season . Since the 2017/18 season has been working as a trainer at Sf Höfen-Baach.
