Andreas Merkle (born April 17, 1962 in Stetten ob Lontal ) is a former German football player .

Career

In his youth he played at TSV Bissingen. About the Heidenheimer SB he came in 1981 to the 2. Bundesliga playing Stuttgarter Kickers , where he played in five years 141 second-division matches, and scored 43 goals.

In the summer of 1986 he moved to VfB Stuttgart . There he played 41 times in the Bundesliga and scored eight goals. At the end of his career he moved to Hamburger SV . From 1988 to 1990 he made 33 Bundesliga games and two goals. In the 1991/92 season he was used 15 times with the amateurs of HSV in the Oberliga Nord.
