Oberliga Baden-Württemberg 1982/83
2nd Bundesliga 1983/84

The football league Baden-Württemberg 1983/84 was the sixth league season.

The Freiburg FC , still on the verge of bankruptcy in the 1982/83 season, was able to win the championship title somewhat surprisingly and qualify for the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga , in which, however, as third in the southern group, they clearly missed promotion. The Offenburger FV took part again in the German amateur championship final, defeating SC Eintracht Hamm 4-1 in the final and becoming German amateur champion.

In the subordinate leagues, VfR Heilbronn , FV Lauda , SV Neckargerach and FC Villingen 08, which only rose from the association league last year, were relegated . In return, SG Kirchheim from the Baden Association League , SV Weil from the Südbaden Association League and FC Marbach from the Württemberg Association League rose directly as the respective relay champions in the following season. SC Geislingen from the Württemberg Association League qualified via the promotion round of the runner-ups .
