The SV Neckargerach is a football club from the Baden Neckargerach .
history
The club was founded in 1931 and had its most successful period in the 1970s and 1980s. In 1975, SV Neckargerach rose to the 1st Amateur League North Baden , the highest German amateur class. In 1978 they became North Baden champions and qualified for the relegation games to the 2nd Bundesliga . In the promotion games, however, the club could not prevail against the teams of the Freiburg FC , SSV Ulm 1846 and SSV Reutlingen and only finished last with 7:14 goals and 3: 9 points.
In 1978 SV Neckargerach qualified for the newly founded Oberliga Baden-Württemberg , but had to relegate again after the first season. 1980 and 1982 succeeded in returning to the league, which was, however, only short-lived. After the last league relegation in 1984 and the following relegation from the association league a year later, SV Neckargerach disappeared from higher-class football.
