↑ Bundesliga 1983/84 |
In the 1983/84 season of the 2nd Bundesliga , Karlsruher SC and FC Schalke 04 achieved promotion to the Bundesliga . The MSV Duisburg failed in the relegation games.
With Karlsruhe and Schalke, two relegated teams from the previous year celebrated their immediate resurgence. In addition to the newcomer SC Charlottenburg , Rot-Weiss Essen , VfL Osnabrück and BV 08 Lüttringhausen from Remscheid had to relegate to the top division.
This season, for the first time, not a single club from Bavaria played in the second division. Since the introduction of the 2nd Bundesliga in 1974, a total of twelve Bavarian clubs had left the 2nd division - eleven down into the Bayernliga , one - 1. FC Nürnberg - up into the Bundesliga.
