Pavel Mačák (born February 7, 1957 ) is a former Czech football player .
Club career
Pavel Mačák made his debut in the 1978/79 season for Baník Ostrava in the 1st Czechoslovak League. With Ostrava, Mačák became the Czechoslovak champion as substitute keeper behind Pavol Michalík . In 1982 he emigrated to the Federal Republic of Germany and played for FC Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga from 1983 to 1987 . After 1987 he played for lower-class clubs and in the traditional Schalke 04 team. In the 1994/95 season he was signed by the then top division club FC Remscheid for the first round of the DFB Cup against 1. FC Köln . The game was lost 7-0.
